Scripture Reading: (Isaiah: 21: 5-6); (Isaiah: 22: 1); (Isaiah: 51: 1-5); (Isaiah: 51: 7-8)
Set a Watchman:
“Prepare the table, watch in the watch tower, eat--drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. For thus has the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees.” (Isaiah: 21: 5-6)
Concerning the Valley of Vision:
“The burden of the Valley of Vision, What ails thee now, that thou are wholly gone up to the housetops?” (Isaiah: 22: 1)
The LORD Comforts Zion:
“Hearken (listen) to me, you that follow after righteousness, you that seek the LORD: look unto the rock where you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit where you are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places: and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein; thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
Hearken, (listen) unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgement to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.” (Isaiah: 51: 1-5)
“Hearken, (listen) unto me, you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear you not the reproach of men, neither be you afraid of their reviling’s. For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be forever, and my Salvation from generations to generation.” (Isaiah: 51: 7-8)
